What to do when healing feels slow, lonely... or invisible

You ever notice how after a breakup, the world just… keeps going?

People still laugh. Still post vacation pics. Still fall in love. And you’re sitting there, staring at your phone, wondering how the hell you're supposed to get over something that mattered so much.

It’s weird, right? You’re grieving an entire life you pictured with someone. And somehow, you're expected to just move on.

So what do you do when you’re in that space between heartbreak and healing?

Here’s what I always say:

You don’t need to sprint. You just need to show up.

One small step. Every day. That’s how healing happens. Quietly. Gently. Without fanfare.

Here’s your 5-step mini reset (bookmark this):

  1. Make your bed. Sounds basic, but it starts your day with a win.

  2. Get some air. Even if it’s just 5 minutes on a balcony or front step.

  3. Write one thing you’re proud of. Even if it’s “I didn’t text them today.”

  4. Move your body. Walk. Stretch. Dance. Release that stuck energy.

  5. Say this out loud: “I am not broken. I am rebuilding.”

You’re not behind. You’re just in the middle. And that’s a powerful place to be.

You’re going to rise from this. Softer, wiser, stronger.

Promise.
